1] Visit to one of the most beautiful hill station Ooty.
To reach Ooty there is flight from Ahmedabad to Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru which is the nearest airport to Ooty. It takes approx. 2 hours 10 minutes to reach Kempegowda International Airport as the aerial distance is 1220 kms. From airport, Ooty is 335 kms. away which takes approx. 7 hrs. to reach Ooty. There is also train from Ahmedabad. But there is direct train to Ooty so one has to deboard in Coimbatore. One can get cab or train from Coimbatore. Similarly there is train as well as cab from Bengaluru to Ooty. One can reach Ooty from Bengaluru in approx. 7 hrs.
One can visit all unmissable places in 3 days including toy train. For relaxing Sterling hotel is very comfortable. The hotel has its own garden as well as its play area. There are table-tennis board, carrom, chess etc. many more games. For infants also there are small slides, swings etc.
Places to visit :-
1) Botanical Garden - It is a very beautiful garden. There is a selfie spot, a conservatory as well as a tunnel. Many different types of shapes as well as animals are made using stem of trees. Designs are made using equal sized plants and shrubs. Replica of Ashoka pillar is there at the entrance of garden.
2) Udhagai Rose Garden - This garden is full of different types of roses. Different colours like purple colour rose, yellow colour rose, red colour rose, pink colour rose, white colour rose are also there.
There is a toy train from Coorg to Coonoor. The toy train is like ancient trains having door at every two sits. The toy train can be boarded at Udagamandalam station and after an hour one can reach Coonoor. There are many stations on the way also. Coonoor is a beautiful place too. On the way back to Coorg one can see three beautiful places in Coonoor.
(a) Dolphin's Nose - Dolphin's Nose is approx. 12 kms. away from Coonor. The name is given because the tip of the rock resembles Dolphin's Nose. One can also see Catherine Falls from here. The tea plantations grown near Dolphin's Nose is also very beautiful.
(b) Lamb's Rock - Lamb's Rock is approx. 7 kms. away from coonoor and approx. 6 kms. from Dolphin's Nose. It is a place of natural beauty. There are stairs from where one can reach the top and see the beauty. There are also many shops from where one can buy chocolates and many more things.
(c) Tea Plantation and Benchmark Tea Factory - Benchmark Tea factory is approx. 21 kms. away from Coonoor. Here many tea plantations are also there. Many types of tea are made. There is a long process for purifying and making of tea. Different types like White tea, Green tea, Black tea were there. Leaf, Broken, Fanning and Dust tea are also made.
After seeing these places on can reach Ooty.
3) Boat House - Boat house is 2 kms. away from Ooty. Boating can also be done here. This is a beautiful place and there are many shops here. One can buy groceries and many more things. Food center is also there where many varieties of food is available.
4) Bandipur Tiger Reserve - There is Bandipur Tiger Reserve where one can do jungle safari. There are many animals here like tigers, spotted deers, wild dogs, wild elephants, peacocks, pigs, mangoose etc.
5) Government Tea Factory - There is a Government Tea Factory in Ooty. Manufacturing of tea can be seen.
There are many factories where chocolates are made and one can buy plenty of chocolates here.
